I decided to Download RegistrySmart and it's now smooth sailing. I always thought it was a sort of virus that was slowing me down, but I had an anti-virus program and it never found anything. It turns out I had errors on my Windows Registry. After I fixed my computer, I got messages requesting I upgrade Adobe and Trillian (my instant message service). Also, I finally got a Windows update to install after four months of it failing to correctly install.
